Shower curtains are a nice way to enhance the beauty of your washroom. But they also tend to pick up dirt quickly for the prevailing damp ambience inside. Here are some suggestions on cleaning up your bathroom shower curtains.

You can choose to wash the curtain in the regular clothes washer only. Simply use a solution of bleach and vinegar (1 cup each) inside. Then add your white towels and the regular laundry detergent. Add some fluid fabric softener too and run your machine with cold water.

However, do not put it in the electric dryer; just hang the curtain up and it would drip dry. To remove or prevent the mildew and mold from the curtain, soak it into salty water. Washing the curtains in warm soapy water (not the plastic ones) with little bleach would also help. For the plastic curtains, the laundry pre-washing sprays would work to limit the mildew formation.
